Vineyard Pool

I came across this small pool during our vineyard walk yesterday morning. Rainwater had accumulated after the recent heavy rains.
Alas, Gypsy found it too and before I could stop her she rushed into the water and had a fine old time stirring up the mud and water and splashing about. She just can't help herself. If she comes across a puddle she just has to run through it, skipping about and looking as if she is laughing. She is over seven years old now, for heaven's sake! She still carries on as if she is only six months old.
However today I was ready for her. Well before we got to the pool I put both dogs on their leads and then tied them up to the vineyard post and wire. All this so I could capture the rather nice reflections of the grapevines which are fast turning lovely shades of gold.
There are beautiful scenes throughout Marlborough at present. Golds and reds and more golds spreading across the countryside as the vineyards take on their Autumn costumes. Just lovely.... a photographer's heaven.
