Twin Street

The higher the building the lower the morals.
- Noel Coward

I don't get into the city very often. I live a singular life tucked away in a quiet corner of never never land. I ventured into town for a few minutes today to browse around a camera shop. On my way out I took a short cut down Twin Street lane.
Twin Street like most of Adelaide is catching up with the rest of Australia's Capital Cities. It still retains a small part of its character however the price we pay for progress is the sight of our faces mirrored in some all glass, glaring and ugly cloned multi storey building (although they do provide interesting photograph opportunities).
I understand the need for development and improvements to the city's skyline. But what about us poor buggers who have to move around a sterile environment at street level?
Are we condemned to walk through whistling windy tunnels of skyscapers which block out natural light most of the day?

From the same spot a little later. A minute or so later this one. Which I was going to blip but changed my mind at the death knock.
