New Foliage

Woke up real early today to prepare breakfast for Mr M, he'd be coming home from a night shift and I'm pretty sure he is starving..
Should I or shouldn't I go out first and try to capture a good sunrise..? Trouble is, when I'm with my camera, time flies and by the time Mr M comes home, there wouldn't have been anything on the table never mind not finding his wife at home! So I opted to stay in.. Told myself, something would present itself later for me to blip..
And it did!
I was ready to wash the dishes, then, while looking outside the window onto our backyard, I noticed the Cherry Tree growing new foliage.. So dishes, set aside, I wandered outside.. I can leave the dishes for later, he can't complain, after all, he's had his full already! And he'd be snoring away in no time..
I read somewhere that the brightness of the sun whitewashes colours sometimes.. But not with this new baby leaves.. Their green is as vivid as new, and I can't help noticing those touch of red at the tip, like somebody just touched it with a brush as an afterthought..
New foliage, new life -- with a touch, or even a breath, of adventure!
