Above And Beyond...

The Gate

After taking granddaughter to the park, and with Mrs BB working overtime, I took her to pre-school for 1pm where she'd yet again fallen asleep on the way.

This weeks W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge tehme is 'stile or gate' and keeping an eye open on the return journey home from pre-school, I saw the gate of all gates at Clytha, nr Raglan, (South Wales, UK) and just had to stop and photograph it.

It belongs to Clytha House, Grade I listed and was rebuilt in the classic Greek style in the 1830s by architect Edward Haycock, and is probably the last ‘Greek-style’ house in Wales. Research shows the gates predate Clytha House built in 1797.  The house, owned by The National Trust, currently has tenants and isn't open to the public.......lucky tenants!

We're off out tonight with our neighbours opposite. It's been a lovely hot day so a cold drink will be on the menu.
