Cleavers ( Galium aparine )

Clickychick had things that needed doing at the studio, so I went along to keep her company.  As a change of scene, I went for a short wander down the lane looking for "wild things", of which there were many.

One thing I did notice was the "Goosegrass" flowers.   Sorry, I am reverting to the language of my youth again.  I was an adult before I heard anybody refer to it as Cleavers.  I rarely notice the flowers they are so small and insignificant.  It is however not possible to ignore the fruit, which sticks to clothes, pets' fur, etc.

It is worth being aware that the plant does, in some people cause contact dermatitis.
