Farewell Pat

It's been a very social day. Some chat in the pool then a chat with K in Fife. Quick salad and another Zoom chat with Hertfordshire this time.

It was a lovely day leading to a bit of a sandal crisis. Realised my favourite Earth Spirits really were past it so quickly ordered a new pair, to arrive before I go, of course.

This afternoon was the last comedy session at the Lyceum. R and I did an excerpt from 'Laurel and Hardy'. I was channelling my inner Marilyn Monroe.

I had about an hour to kill and spent some of it sitting in the sun in St John's churchyard before crossing to Charlotte Square and ACOSVO's Summer Reception and farewell to CEO Pat. It was hot in the conservatory like extension to The Postcode Lottery offices. Speeches were a bit long but it was great seeing so many people I hadn't seen for about 3 years.  Much talking, some Prosecco and a large slice of the cake.

More chat as I walked for the bus as I bumped into C and we stood for ages catching up. Haven't seen her since February

Home now, still light outside and I'm waiting for tonight's guests to return. I fear it may be some time.
