New house-sit

Meet Twig, Bamboo and Tarragon - my charges for the next three days - and so far they have been very well-behaved.

I calculated that this is the 32nd house that I've 'sat' in since I first began house-sitting over 20 years ago as a favour for someone who wanted to visit their son in Australia, but didn't want to put their elderly dog into kennels for three weeks. 

No way of knowing how different life might have been if I'd never agreed to that very first one, but I'm certain it wouldn't be as interesting. For me, anyway ;-)

PS  There are hens here as well - don't let me forget to put them to bed!
