Lunch in Chichester

A wet start to the day so my daughter and I went to the Pallant House Gallery to see an exhibition of work by Glyn Philpot who was a renowned society portraitist who shook off convention to embrace modernism. We had lunch in the very colourful, newly opened Ivy restaurant before coming home. We sat on the terrace with a cup of tea overlooking grey clouds and a grey sea. A complete contrast to yesterday
