Out early, (quack of dawn?) for a quick bike ride, where I saw the young shelducks again. These are both heavily cropped.
It was fun to watch them skittering on the muddy bank.
In the afternoon, we had a little look round an exhibition of mostly childrens' books and literature from the ages, including a chinese one from the 1770's, a Latin primer from 1680 and Charlotte Bronte's manuscript of Jane Eyre in painstakingly legible copperplate handwriting. (I wanted to post a sample of this but am having trouble.) What she would have given for a laptop.
