the budgie auction

Well not just budgies, there were finches, Irish fancies, canaries, and a pair of Japanese quail.
It's my youngest daughter's birthday tomorrow and she said she wanted a budgie! So we went to Melton Market, to the fur and feather auction, and found one she wanted. The auction was great fun and very rustic. After nearly buying a boxful of baby turkeys by accident she only put her hand up when she made a bid. The bidding went up slowly but Holly, being very determined, got her bird in the end.
