Baking Blencathra

After an 8am start we headed up Blencathra via Blease Fell. The views where vast and we could easily see Derwent water, Thirlmere, Castle Rigg stone circle and many other fells and mountains. Even the Solway coast.
I did Blencathra via scales tarn and sharp edge when I was 16 and never thought I'd do it again.
The Blease fell route is steep but easier than the scales tarn/sharpedge route.
We lunched on the summit before descending in the heat.
A very welcome pit stop in the Threlkeld coffee shop just finished off our morning (early afternoon).
Extra - the vaccinating team, myself, Liz Beth, Kathy and Nicky.
It's been a wonderful day and I'm chuffed to bits that we all made it to the top.
