Happy St George's Day
This was taken in the grounds of St Georges Crowhurst where there has been a church standing for many hundreds of years. The current one was started in 12th and various alterations and additions took place in the 13th and 14th centuries. This place is worthy of a return as there is in the grounds a 4000 year old hollow yew tree possibly one of the oldest living yews in the country.
This is a tiny little village but nearly every house was flying a flag today which looked fantastic in the glorious sunshine. Wind was at a premium though and I had to wait for ages for a suitable gust to show it in its full glory!
