Good day sunshine…
Backblip
What a lovely day :-)
David and Kenny were playing golf with Alan at the Burgess. We met Ele and Kenny at Stirling services and Kenny went in our car with David to meet Alan and I went with Ele to Gail’s (the other golf widow) for lunch.
We had a wonderful afternoon eating lunch whilst sitting in Alan and Gail’s stunning garden (the peonies are the loveliest I’ve ever seen!) It was cloudy but very warm to start with then the sun came out and it was absolutely glorious.
Late afternoon Gail poured me a delicious G&T (always tastes amazing outdoors in the sunshine :-) from gin she bought from the isle of Barra on their recent holiday in the Outer Hebrides.
The guys arrived back from the golf just after 7pm. The sun was still shining so we ate dinner in the garden (the most delicious chilli with every accompaniment imaginable including the most amazing mango salsa I’ve ever tasted. Must get the.recipe) followed by two delicious homemade desserts - apple crumble from apples from their little orchard, and David’s favourite, strawberry pavlova. He was very happy :-))
We ended up sitting out till 10pm and were only chased inside when the dreaded midges started feasting on us!
We were just between dinner courses when Ally sent methe photos of Lola :-) She, Alan and Lola were enjoying sitting in the garden at home too.
Ally texted me to say my friend Shona had popped up to collect the painting she commissioned for her daughter’s best friend’s 18th. Hope she liked it once she saw it in the flesh so to speak! :-))
