Isolation & Silence

So! This man is alone. He is on the ice where usually there would be a lot of people around. However, there isn't! Which leads us to believe that he's isolated just like Ishmael when he was alone in the forrest. There was silence because he had nobody to talk to and he was alone just like the man in this.
