gusano. it's not entirely clear to me why worms appear inside tequila bottles. perhaps these particular worms make their home in the succulent agave plants of mexico. i have no idea really, but there certainly is something exotic and exciting when one's bartender presents a bottle of liquor with these things inside. plus they're pretty photogenic.
