Sugar snap.
Flower Friday again and it seems to come round quicker each time.
These are pea flowers, but as you can see, not sweet peas but the edible variety.
Planted in the new raised bed. I have made the mistake of planting them too close to the runner beans as I didn’t expect them to grow quite so tall.
They are a Sugar Snap variety called ‘ Sugar Bon’. Lots of flowers and pods forming at the moment.
You eat the whole pod, but unlike Mangetout they have very small peas inside which I like.
Very nice raw in salads.
A humid day today. Much cooler and mainly cloudy. Keeps threatening rain, and next minute the sun is shining.
Last night’s shower hardly wet the garden, and if it doesn’t rain before dark will be out watering pots again.
Hope you enjoy the weekend, whatever the weather.
