City of Wells

FRIDAY

A trip over to the East Lancashire Railway.

Lunch at the station buffet at Bury. 

Then a drive over to Ramsbottom to catch the 13:20 train for the short fifteen minute journey to Rawtenstall. A quick beer sat out on the platform in the sunshine before heading back to Ramsbottom. I had a look around the shops there before heading home on the M62.

The main blip is the City of Wells locomotive which was pulling empty carriages down the line. Locomotive 5643 (see extra) was hauling today's passenger service.
