egret

we went today to a nature reserve on the shores of Rutland Water. They have  some breeding Ospreys there and we were lucky to see the chicks in the nest and the mother flying a couple of times. I did manage to capture mum flying but she was so far away that even with a 400mm lens the photos aren't usable. All the birds sadly were a long way off. This one of the egret flying and the extra of some cormorants are both considerably cropped.
