Sashiko Repair

An uneventful day but I want to share this wonderful Sashiko Japanese-style repair my mum did for me on a well-loved pair of jeans. After watching the Sewing Bee on Wednesday eve she did this fabulous repair for me on Thursday and I love it!

When I saw it done on Sewing Bee it reminded me of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics by celebrating the break and making a feature from it.
