Matthew

As I was pulling up to the library on my ebike Matthew pulled up. We have the same bike so we talked about bikes and a bit about life. I asked for his photo and his name. He told me and I realized that he had been one of my students when I was a special educator in a local elementary school.  I knew his daughter as a preschooler and see her occasionally in the library now that she is a teen.  He was thrilled that I knew him and called me over for a hug. I wished him good luck and we went on our separate ways.
