Cabbage roses

I am watering the garden of a neighbour while she’s in Italy (BA willing) and she gave me these two GIANT roses to say thank you.  They really are cabbage roses…and in a neon pink that doesn’t quite look real.  I mean I’m all about natural profusion but these are socks knocking off….

The weather changed today, colder, greyer with a sharp wind.
