Rest day

A sort of rest day, morning ‘housework’ and shopping, afternoon a short bike ride and up hike an easy hill, picnic by Loch Callater and back down by the stream. The boulder in the extra commemorates one of the Jacobite uprisings. It’s by the A93 on the route of an old military road. History: these roads were surveyed by the early ordnance survey and built throughout the highlands as part of the English takeover of Scotland.
