A visit to Penrhyn Castle
Donated to the National Trust in 1952, this fabulous faux castle provides a glimpse of the lifestyle enjoyed by the Pennant family in the 1800s. Derived from slate quarries and sugar plantations, their wealth allowed them to build and live in one of the most ornate stately homes in Britain.
