A much sunnier morning than forecast, so after a slow start and lots of pastries in bed we headed out for a walk. The town was gearing up for the air show so we avoided it and headed in the other direction, which was basically empty. A nice walk along the sand and then up by the Axe until we found a lovely (very dog friendly) cafe.

Walked back through town and had another drink before we decided to walk the other way along the coast to avoid the crowds again.

By this point I’d developed quite a cold and was feeling pretty rubbish. We headed back to the station to try and catch one of the very rare trains actually running. Had a bit of a wait at the station but I got home reasonably easily - a considerably longer journey for Ma.
