Memorial Walk

Up nice and early this morning, to my correct alarm (LOL), as I was going to meet up with former colleagues and do a memorial walk.

This time last year we lost our former boss, but he was more than just a boss, he was a leader, a mentor and a friend.  Someone we all looked up to and respected.

COVID and the restrictions in place at that time denied us the  opportunity to say goodbye properly, so we organised a walk up his local mountain, Sugar Loaf.  When we got to the summit we all raised a wee dram of whisky to him and then spent a good while reminiscing about our memories of him.

A great walk for a great man.  Rest in Peace Denis.

Been resting this afternoon.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  The opportunity to know Denis
2.  Organising a memorial walk for him with former colleagues
3.  The sun shining down on us or maybe it was Denis
4.  Having the opportunity to walk with lovely Dottie - see main blip
