Buff-tailed bumble bee

First of all a very big thank you to all who helped my hungry puffin find his way onto popular page 1 ..... a very, very rare occurrence for me.

Before heading home today we went to the Boarhills Open Gardens. It was rather windy but there were some sheltered areas in the beautifully planted gardens. Boarhills is a rather spread out community so we did quite a bit of walking between the open gates.

Just home for a few days and then back to Fife at the end of the week for 'Light the Lights' at the East Neuk Festival.
