Look Out Below
What a glorious day today!
I was sat in the office at work and these days I have sight of a window (hurray!) and I could see an RAF Hercules flying low past Bicester. That means the Paratroopers would be doing practice jumps at RAF Weston-On-The-Green. I headed out at lunchtime to see if I could get a picture. They invariably do some quite low passes. By the time I got there they had gained height and the more experienced parachuters (is that a word? Parachutist?) were doing free fall before opening their 'chutes.
This guy nearly floated over the top of me before landing very softly (merely the bend of a knee, no falling to the floor here). Not bad at all considering they were carrying quite large packs with them too.
