The Begining Or The End?

Headed into Edinburgh with SWMBO to meet my sister and brother-in-law before going into Greyfriars Church for a memorial to those who donated their bodies to the Anatomy Department at Edinburgh University for research and teaching purposes.

There were only 23 in the last year - not many when you think that there are 250 medical students this year.

The service was quite good - apart from one piece of music played on the organ (which needs a couple of pipes seen to). It was dire.

I liked the dappled light coming through the windows.
Each of the windows had a plaque - but indication of when they were installed ( 1857 on )


Edit -- I forgot to say .......... It was my mother who donated her body
