Time Warp
Been feeling nostalgic lately for the way in which I used to be able to blade and skate without needing to stop for breath and a fag every five minutes ! A quick google informed of a skate park in Camden I had forgotten about and since its been such a lovely day here in London, decided to bike on over there.
Hadn't considered just how busy it would be on a day like today after school hours, or the fact that being Londoners, they might not want their photos taken.....they didn't.
That said, I didnt try, or enter through the gates, just sat on the grassy hill outside and watched. There was this one guy who was the epitome of 'cool'.
He had long dark hair tied back with a hippy bandanna, a tie dye t-shirt and another rag hanging from his skinny jeans. The park was impressive and had a huge bowl in the center. Watching this guy pump for speed through the curves and flows of the bowl, giving high fives as he jumped out while the sun was shining, I could have been at the beach in LA in the 70's!
Turns out about 45 minutes is roughly the time it takes for a stranger watching to become a curiosity so I left.
The picture is of some kids running through one of the water fountain/features at Christinas uni.
It has been shorts and t-shirt weather today, but not so sure it was warm enough for this!
