Drowned Rats!

We got absolutely soaked on our Muddy Monday walk this afternoon. We could see the black clouds coming our way (see extra) but we were in the middle of a field when the heavens opened and within a minute we were drenched. As there was thunder and lightning, we ran to the village church until it had passed then walked back to school, soaked to the skin and leaving a trail of water behind us much to everyone else’s amusement. It was like that scene in the Sound of Music when they capsize the boat. The children had PE kits they could get changed into but Ciara and I weren’t so lucky . We both headed straight home after school. I’m sitting under a blanket with a coffee trying to warm up!
