Little Tern - 80

We had a trip out to the Point of Ayr at Talacre to see if we could see the Little Tern. This is the furthest point of the Dee Estuary RSPB reserve and although we could see them in the distance they were too far away to photograph. 

A much better location is Gronant Dunes near Prestatyn where there is another reserve. It is a bit of a walk from the car park but well worth it as they are there in abundance and have have been very successful breeding. This is my favourite, of a little tern doing acrobatics and the extra shows one with a fish and I have also included a skylark (81) photo which I really liked
