Force of Nature
This is part of Aira Force, a series of cascades and waterfalls on the Aira Beck, which flows into Ullswater. I've been waiting to do a bit of creamy water treatment for a while, cliché though it might be, and today's visit to this National Trust area was rewarded with many opportunities.
The beck was a torrent because of all the rain that the hills have received in the last few days, and that spate provided us with many delightful cascades, large (main) and small (Extra). I was pleased with my ability to handhold at such slow speeds, so slow that the foliage was blurred with its movement.
We head for Ironbridge tomorrow, just for a couple of nights to break the journey home to Dorset; I feel confident that I'll find some views to photograph over the next few days.
