Action shot

I just couldn't resist another bee and Erigeron thistle picture as the flowers are in their prime and the various types of bees clearly love them. The bee on the left appears to have no wings as he was flapping them so quickly!

It's been a wet and windy few days. The big disaster was the loss of most of the Echinops thistles. They were very tall and have really brittle stems (or so I've found today) so once the wind got them that was it. I staked them too late and too low.
