A most beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, the wind had fairly fallen back. I stayed indoors until 3.30 p.m. to: Engage with another batch of eleven invoices from SSE for the Hoy Kirk(when will they ever learn?) (you all know the answer) Receive a missive from the CoS Insurers saying that at one and the same time the Hoy Kirk is insured and (in the next paragraph) isn’t. Try and sort out the logjam between Business Energy Scotland and Local Energy Scotland to have an energy audit / survey on the Kirk. Oh, and write a tender document (no salve applied) for the re-insulation of the Hoy Kirk (almost complete!). The only thing you will have gathered is that you didn’t need to read to this point. More pap to follow…..
After 32 requests for a D and B update (all from the same address: 14 Hottipass Street, Fishguard). Unbeknown to the writer B and D are holed up in Brynsiriol (23b); the adjacent street. It’s a wonder their unicycles haven’t been spotted. Instead the motif they chose was more of a tartan droplet. Desmond was up all night trying to burn yet another batch of old love letters from Lady Falkender. The fumes woke the landlady and Desmond used the ensuing confusion to steal Blanche’s Lady Shave.
When I was a student, I had a quarter share of a Hillman Imp.
