Cherries

I think I’ve caught up with blips today. Also, many thanks for all your birthday wishes and all your kind words about yesterday’s performance!

The highlight of today was picking cherries from the tree we rent. It took much less time than we expected going by our experience of last year. There were less to pick but their quality was so much improved from the quite tasteless pile we picked last year.

Overall, we gathered about 8kg which probably means we have more cherries than we would have if we’d spent the rental money buying them from roadside stalls.

Some we’re eating whilst they’re fresh, some for Doreen and Bob and Sue, some to make cherry ripple ice cream, some to freeze and some to dehydrate. Plenty to do in the next few days.
