ROYALTY

The Mono Monday theme is Royalty - anything platinum, 70, regal or just royally themed.  My blip shows the front cover and some of the cards inside a cigarette card album which commemorates the coronation of George 6th on May 12th 1937.  The set of 50 cards were issued in 1937 by WD & H O Wills. Weather was dry and warm-ish today and we did have sunshine for a short time.  Not nice enough to sit outside on the patio though.  I had a wander down to the village this afternoon,  Took a couple of carrier bags of stuff to donate to the Barnardos charity shop.  Did a bit of shopping in Tesco and Herons and visited the cashpoint outside the bank.

Bumped into one of Becky and Neils old teachers .Even though he lives not far from me I haven't seen him for ages.  He loves to travel  but of course during the pandemic he had to stay local.  However I was pleased to hear that he's just come back from a months holiday in Romania - and he had a great time. We had a nice catch up - he's always interested to hear how Becky and Neil are doing and I was happy to give him an update.

Got home in time to receive a parcel delivery --- a new frying pan.  How exciting.
