Day of 2 halves
Caught the bus into Bradford city centre at lunchtime as our community choir was to sing in the Broadway shopping centre. It was a warm day and the centre has a glass roof - the sun was right above where we were singing so it was very hot! The charity Bradford Night Stop was collecting for their cause - it was great to hear later that they raised £800 - hopefully our singing helped a little bit! After that some of us made our way across the road to the beautiful Bradford Cathedral to watch the priesting of our curate Anna. A lovely, but rather longer than expected service. I almost forgot to take photos, so the couple in my blip are not the best, but show one of the old walls and the view towards the altar with the high arches and ceiling. As we left to catch the bus home there was a tremendous downpour so it was a case of grab the brolly and kagoule and make a dash for the bus station! Luckily it had eased off by the time we reached the village! I will backblip later for Friday.
