Hide & Seek, Connemarra

A two-day family trip to Galway, to see our friend's J and S out in Spiddal, and their newborn girl, R. Our hotel had a fair-sized pool and the wean continues to enjoy the water, which is very heartening. Very windy weather, but wonderfully sunny. Strolled around Galway on the first day and noticed this construction site nearby. Bought a couple of books and had a meal in one of the older pubs, near Nochtains.

I took the blip photo at J & S's place, a well=sheltered little oasis of trees, near a cluster of other houses in the middle of a bog, about a mile from the coast. J is a painter and has built a studio for himself behind the house. Glorious evening light. Their little girl is beautiful, very calm and perfect in every way. The wean wasn't interested in the baby of course, but we had fun playing hide and seek among the rocks and trees.
