Tiree sky and sea at Tràigh Bhì
We spent quite a lot of time on the beach at Tràigh Bhì today. Here we found a couple of great spots to lie flat on our backs to watch the amazing cloud formations overhead, as blipped. The reflections of the clouds on the wet sand were also superb, as can be seen in my first extra.
Also today we had gin for lunch (well, it makes a change from cake!) at the Tiree distillery, and cycled to the Cobbled Cow café for tea and scones.
Late afternoon we resumed the Scrabble tournament at our bed and breakfast. Mr hazelh won today's game so now has a strong 3-1 lead.
We returned to the Scaranish Hotel for dinner this evening. The local lambs seem to like it there too. We caught a pair nibbling on the foliage at the hotel entrance. Caught in the act in my second extra is the main culprit and his look-out.
The only downside of this trip is that poor Mr hazelh is suffering from terrible toothache. After several phone calls to the local doctor and our dentist in Edinburgh, it has been established that the nerve of a tooth that was treated recently is dying off and is refusing to go quietly. Painkillers are a solution (of sorts) for the time being.
Exercise today: cycling (25 miles); walking (8793 steps).
