……. Take Off ?

I can remember this building closing in January 2018. At that time 2024 seemed a long way away. That is when the £300m project to renovate and restore Manchester Town Hall (including an enlarged Albert Square, with vehicular through traffic excluded) will be completed.

That is something to look forward to. I am sure this jewel in Manchester’s crown is sorely missed by many. The world has changed in unexpected ways since January 1st 2018, and will look very different when the Town Hall and Albert Square re-open in 2024.
