Not a stop button

Spotted this tiny spider, which is about half the size of my little finger nail overall, sitting on a Foxglove flower in some rare morning sunshine.  I have no idea of the function, if any, of the minuscule red blob, maybe it's something to do with web production? In the sunlight, parts of the spider appeared translucent
