Impending downpour

Lots of shower, quite heavy at times. Walked into town, saw a strange sight which was one of the local ‘worthies’ holding a raven in his hands with his mates watching on asking for a box to put the bird in. Not sure what then would happen but the bird was just quite happy being captured. I suppose it was quite kind of them rescuing it from potential doom….

We popped into Nero for a coffee and a pastry. Met Alan who was our facilitator of the volunteers at the vaccine centre. Seems so long ago that we were in full helper mode walking our socks off but it was only last year.

What this about Oor Charlie taking carrier bags and suitcases full of money from a Qatari sheikh businessman, one of the richest men in the world who invests in giant swathes of London. Is this not on the borderline of corruption? ‘Money for his charities’. ‘No failure of governance’. Lol! Yeah, they are as corrupt as the Westminster crew.
