Let down

Sat on the bench waiting, waiting then decided my friend was not coming for our planned lunch, perhaps I had the wrong date.
Called on my other friend on way back but cannot stay long it is too distressing to see the deterioration, at least she still recognises me.

I had the correct day, my friend horrified at missing and insists she buy me lunch in two weeks, having marked the calender.
