The Burrell on a rainy day

It was forecast correctly for rain today so we thought it would be a good time to visit The Burrell Collection for the first time since it reopened in March of this year after the refurbishment which started in 2016. The building first opened in 1983 and I have visited on many previous occasions. Going through the main galleries on the ground floor I thought everything was much the same as before but there have been some changes and more of the collection is on display. I particularly enjoyed being upstairs in the first floor galleries and looking down through the building. Even on a dull wet day the building is light and bright and well worth a visit.
