We've actually had some rain today, which you can see in amongst the emerging petals. I didn't actually notice the droplets there until I looked at the picture on my computer - it was a nice surprise. What wasn't so nice was the little bit of something in amongst the petals, which to be honest I had noticed the other day, but keep forgetting to remove before I take the photo. I know my near eyesight is going, but I didn't think it was that bad!

Today you can clearly see the inside of one of the petals - well, I call them petals but I am sure there must be a proper name for these little tiny flowerlets that make up the main flower. Anyone know what the correct term is?
