Second Project

We had an entertaining day. We watched a collared dove and a magpie interacting from our "offices". The dove was half-heartedly chasing the magpie and then sat watching him showing off his stick carrying skills. It went on for quite a while.

When we went out to hang up the washing there was a woman in our driveway trying to get near enough to her dog to take the dead rabbit he picked up from the road off him. She wasn't successful. We tried to distract the dog and offered her a cup of tea while the dog devours the rabbit so they could continue their walk. At the end we went back to our desks. They were gone by the time we came down for lunch.

We watched the Williams/Tan match after swimming. It was a bit irritating that the commentators only concentrated and commented on Serena, her game and what she should do; very little was said about Tan in comparison. It was also rude of the crowd to cheer every Williams point as if she just won the championship and only indifferently clap at Tan's points.

Before people think I am anti-Williams. I didn't want Serena to lose and it would have been fantastic if she could have won Wimbledon at age 40. I hope that this comeback game will spur her on to still chase that 24th Grand Slam Title.
