Towards Castle crag

Final day of our short limited walking workshop today, so a three-stop day, taking in the Ashness landing stage, Ashness bridge, the view of Derwent from the edge of this cliff, and Watendlath.

After two pretty full days of rain, it was great to have a day that started overcast, and cleared to leave a good deal of sunny spells.

Had a choice of a few pics tonight, which you can see here, here, here and here, but settled on this (mostly because of the blue sky). Very contrasty light called for a 0.75 grad to control the sky / ground contrast. I also liked the little ferry making its way across Derwentwater.
