Banking

At the bank today, ahead of me in the queue, the following conversation:
“Hello, my name is Smith* - I have an appointment today.”
Tap tap tap
“Sorry, we don’t seem to have an appointment in that name. Are you sure it was for today?”
“Yes - I made it over the phone.”
“OK and for what time?
“I’m not entirely sure.”
“And do you remember the name of the person you were seeing?”
“Sorry, I didn’t make a note of that.”
“Please can I see your bank card?”
Mr Smith produced a card.
“This is for Barclays.”
We were in Lloyds.
