Dipper Feeding Time

Poor adult dipper has a very demanding chick which seemed to be her only offspring. Perhaps that is why it is such a size! A very different young bird (extra) a thrush I think, landed near her and seemed to be doing the same thing with its wings as the young dipper to attract her attention. Is this possible? It flew off when it didn’t receive any snacks!
