Glasgow Kelvingrove

The Stewart Memorial Fountain with Sir Walter Scott’s “Lady of the Lake” atop was built to celebrate the Loch Katrine water supply scheme 1855-1859 giving Glasgow an abundance of fresh water for the first time.
